How to get my matric results via SMS
- Send your identification (ID) number and exam number via SMS to 35658.
- Both numbers must have 13 digits to be accepted and there is a once-off charge of R3 to register.
- Once registration is completed, results will be delivered by SMS when they are released.

General Information About Matric Results
- The results reflected on this website are the results of the individual subjects written in the 2022 Senior Certificate midyear examinations, and DO NOT include the results of the National Senior Certificate midyear examinations.
- Only candidates who wrote and are resulted in six or more subject will obtain a result status, otherwise the status will be reflected as “Incomplete”.
- The Statement of Results will be available at the centres from 3 August 2022.
- Some subject or candidate results may be excluded from the results published on this website, because of technical reasons. Please enquire at centre where you wrote or at your district/provincial office.
- The Department of Basic Education reserves the right to change any of the information published on this website.
- IMPORTANT: The next opportunity to complete or improve your results is in May/June 2023. You can register online or at a district office from 1 October 2022 to 8 February 2023. Admission requirements are on the reverse side of your Statement of Results.

The DBE deals with all schools from Grade R to Grade 12, including adult literacy programmes.
