About The Position

Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the prime responsibility of the Territory Sales manager is to clearly understand customer needs and goals and provide solutions to meet those needs.

You will reach, retain and expand the company’s customers to ensure sustainable business growth by developing and overseeing the accurate sales strategies to ensure the achievement of the region’s objectives and goals.

So, what does it take to be successful in this role?

  • Ensure streamlined implementation of the customer strategy at POS in order to further build market share
    Report on regional sales results
  • Developing specific plans to ensure growth both long and short-term
  • Create regional sales plans and quotas in alignment with business objectives
  • Monitor and Evaluate team and individual performance
  • Analyze regional market trends and discover new opportunities for growth
  • Address potential problems and suggest prompt solutions
  • Prepare and lead the Sales Team Meetings with focus on results vs. targets set
  • Together with the sales team, identify & implement actions for closing possible results gaps in the concerned POS when they occur
  • Follow up of field budgets versus incremental sales per sales representative
  • Build excellent relationships with the regional Distribution Manager
  • Gather and provide competitive information to headquarters on a regular and continuous basis.

Skills, Experience And Qualifications

  • Degree in a Business-related area
  • At least 3 years working experience in relevant position in the FMCG industry (experience in sales planning, execution in the general trade channel is an advantage
  • Strong analytical skills and business mindset; Proven business management competency
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Creative and passionate, willing to take challenges
  • Proactive, confident and able to work under high pressure
  • Good command in English and computer skills
  • Passion for the Consumer and customer focus with a growth mindset
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.

MSF offers assistance to people based on need, irrespective of race, religion, gender or political affiliation. MSF is therefore guided by the principles of neutrality and impartiality. These principles must apply to all MSF staff.  Required Criteria:  Minimum Educational Qualification: Essential secondary education; commerce related studies desirable. Experience: At least 2 years’ experience in supply chain related jobs Languages: Essential mission language: English and Swahili (Kirundi and/or French will be a plus.) Objectives of the position: Performing the day to day purchasing activities in a particular supply office (coordination or project level) according to MSF protocols and standards in order to ensure an optimal running of the mission/ project. Main Responsibilities: Performing on a day to day basis the purchasing activities of a supply office, analysing market sources and competitive pricing conditions among different suppliers in order to ensure an ongoing supply of goods, following the procurement procedures and according to MSF standards and protocols. Including the following activities:  Constantly assessing the local market, seeking products and suppliers that offer the best value for money and negotiating prices in order to guarantee the best quality and pricing for MSF goods and commodities. Regularly updating the supplier-item-price data on the supply office and informing the Supply (Activity) Supervisor / Logistics Supervisor of all information or modifications to the data i.e. price, address, items available. At the request of the line manager, obtaining different quotations from suppliers according to the MSF Purchasing policy and placing purchase orders to pre-selected suppliers with whom prices have been agreed. Requesting invoices or receipts, without delay, for all purchases, checking they are correctly filled and translating information written in local language before approval. Managing the administrative and accounting procedures related to purchases: completing purchase orders, checking delivery notes (against orders), managing advances issued by the Finance Department, etc. Updating information on purchase lists after purchases are made. Assisting in reception control process with the storekeeper. Performing delegated tasks according to his / her activity and as specified in his/her job description CONTEXT SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES: Peforming weekly, monthly and quartrly purchase acordingly standard and requested quality of item Eensuring the efficient and smooth running of the following supply activities: local purchase management. planning and execute accordingly quarterly planning Ensuring the availability of relevant management data to the owners of the stock, project, (eliminate risk of shortages, stock reports, lead-time, pipeline, etc.).
