Changes to HSC Modern History Past Papers
So as we’ve mentioned before, the past papers from before 2019 have a slightly different structure.
With the current syllabus, you are examined on the core study, ‘Power and Authority in the Modern World’, and you will need to answer sourced-based short answer questions worth 25 marks.
However if you complete a paper from before 2019, these will be WWI short answer questions.
You may also notice the Historical Personality Study in the older papers listed below, however, in the current syllabus, this has been replaced with Change in the Modern World.
This will be assessed in your exam through a short answer section, with 3 or 4 questions. There will be one question between 10-15 marks, and the section is worth a total of 25 marks.
